Hailed for her "exquisite coloratura" (South Florida Classical Review), singing actress Ms. Alyssa Click was most recently seen as Johanna in Sweeney Todd with Lowell House Opera and the four-part concert series Divas and Diamonds with Seaglass Theater Company.
The pandemic has not prevented her from performing, however, and she has compiled a collection of virtual performances in collaboration with performers and companies across the country. This past summer, she was contracted with Charlottesville Opera to sing Silly Girl and understudy Madame in Beauty and the Beast and is thrilled to be rejoining the company this summer in the chorus of La Bohème as a Young Artist.
Alyssa has been teaching voice since 2015. Recently, she was the Music Director and Chorus Master for the Pierce School production of The Little Mermaid, Jr. as well as the Music Director and Conductor for their production of The Music Man Jr. She has a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University (2016) and holds her Master of Music degree in Opera Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee (2018).
Skills taught include: vocal technique, repertoire, musicianship, sight-reading, audition preparation, role preparation, and an emphasis on an overall healthy style of vocalization in any genre. Alyssa teaches mainly musical theatre and classical repertoire.
“Alyssa is an upbeat, encouraging, and patient teacher. Her own singing voice is beautiful, and she sings very professionally in a wide range of genres. She is reliable, pleasant, sincere, and capable. She gives each student her full attention and tailors her lessons to each one’s particular talent (as well as where they’re in need of improvement). I recommend Alyssa very highly. She’s delightful!”
